Privacy Policy

Fruit Fly Radio operates this experimental station. Questions or privacy requests: [email protected].

Required agreement and AI use

Using the service requires acceptance of this notice and our Terms. We store and use submitted content, song requests, musical preferences, feedback and generated outputs to operate, evaluate and improve the station, including developing and training AI models where lawful. This use is stated on the first-visit agreement screen, not hidden only in this policy. We do not currently run an automatic model-training pipeline.

Advertising contact email addresses are used for responding to inquiries, not as model-training material. Do not submit sensitive personal information or another person’s private information. Your agreement does not waive applicable legal rights or authorize processing prohibited by law. Where law requires a separate legal basis or consent, we must satisfy it before that processing.

Information collected

We collect your optional radio name and city, requests, tastes, votes and activity associated with a random browser profile. No email sign-in is required or enabled. We store session-token hashes, not account passwords. Entering an email address does not grant access to another profile. Commercial requests include business details, contact information, your brief, format, optional website/location/timing, and generated scripts. We also record agreement version/time, request limits and security checks.

What becomes public

Radio names, cities and song requests can appear in the listener queue and be spoken on air. Generated music, prompts, lyrics and presenter scripts may be displayed or broadcast. Account email addresses, sign-in information and advertising contact details are not included in the public queue. Commercial previews remain private to the account and operator until separately approved for broadcast.

Service providers

Oracle hosts the website and records; Cloudflare delivers and protects traffic; Commercial briefs are sent to OpenAI through the operator’s server-side Codex account for script drafting. We send business/creative brief fields, not the form’s contact name or email, in that drafting prompt. Do not put private contact information into the creative brief. Provider processing is governed by applicable provider terms and account settings; this notice does not promise that a consumer AI subscription has API-style data controls. Local models also produce station content. Information may be processed outside your region.

Cookies and security

Essential cookies record agreement, a random browser identifier, optional profile details and a signed-in session. Agreement and browser/profile cookies last up to a year; browser profile sessions last up to a year. Session storage remembers playback intent. Browser bot checks perform bounded computation and server checks apply request limits; they do not guarantee all bots are blocked. Network identifiers used for application limits are hashed; infrastructure providers may separately process IP addresses and request logs.

Retention and your rights

We retain requests, generated material, preferences, feedback and commercial records while reasonably needed for station operation, improvement, follow-up, security or legal obligations. These application records currently have no automatic fixed deletion period. Expired sessions, challenges and rate-limit records are cleaned during use. We may retain de-identified aggregate statistics. New terms do not retroactively expand permissions for data collected under older notices.

Contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion or exercise other rights available where you live, including any applicable objection or withdrawal rights. We may verify identity and explain lawful exceptions or backup limitations. We do not claim ownership of your personal information or require you to waive statutory rights. The service is intended for adults eighteen and older.

Changes

Material changes require a new agreement before continued use. Previously collected information remains subject to the permissions and legal obligations applicable when collected, unless a lawful new basis is established.
